JIGAWA: Jahun LG chairman assists PLWDs with food items, cash

The Executive Chairman of Jahun Local Government Council, Hon. Jamilu Muhammad Danmalam, has been commended for his support to people's living with Disabilities in the area. 

Malam Wada Jahun, Chairman of JONAPWD in Jahun Local Government, praised the chairman for his kindness and generosity.

Ismael Salisu Bature Jahun Special Assistant on publicity to the executive Chairman, said that the chairman provided food items and cash assistance to 220 people's living with disabilities  from 11 wards in the local government area. 

Jahun said each beneficiary received a bundle of Super Getty, a bag of rice, and N5,000 cash.

According to him, the Chairman emphasized that the  disabilities people's  deserve support and care, saying "they have not committed any offense, and Allah has created them that way." He also urged the people of Jahun Local Government and Jigawa State to remember the person's with Disabilities and give them moral support, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Vice Chairman, Hon. Rabi'u Salisu Harbo, and the Director of Finance and Administration, ALH. Yakubu Bala, acknowledged that the Chairman obtained their consent and approval before implementing the support program.

This act of kindness demonstrates Hon. Danmalam's commitment to supporting vulnerable members of his community.
