Jigawa CP Decorates 81 Senior Police Officers

The Jigawa State Commissioner of Police, CP AT Abdullahi psc, decorated eighty-one (81) recently promoted senior police officers with their new ranks. 

The ceremony was held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the Command Conference, State Headquarters Dutse.

One Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) was promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), thirteen (13) Superintendents of Police (SPs) were promoted to the substantive rank of Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs), ten (10) Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) were promoted to Superintendents of Police (SPs), and fifty-seven (57) Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) were promoted to Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs).

The ceremony was attended by Command management, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, Heads of Department, relatives, and well-wishers.

In his address, the Commissioner of Police, CP AT Abdullahi, congratulated and felicitated the newly promoted officers on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun Ph.D, NPM, and urged them to consider their new ranks as a commitment, motivation, and additional responsibilities.

He also warned the beneficiaries to be disciplined, loyal, and hardworking, while admonishing them to avoid all acts of unprofessionalism.

In a vote of thanks, DCP Abubakar Buba Ardo expressed his profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting him life and good health to witness the promotions.

On behalf of the newly decorated officers, the Deputy Commissioner of Police thanked the Inspector General of Police and the Police Service Commission for considering them for these promotions, as well as the Jigawa State Commissioner of Police and his management team for their fatherly advice, guidance, and immense support.

The new DCP promised to redouble their efforts in carrying out their duties as well as combating all forms of crime and criminality in the state and country as a whole.
