Jahun Local Government provide Relief To Fire Victims

A devastating fire outbreak occurred on the night of Friday, March 22, 2025, in Askawa Gidan Haji village, Idanduna ward, Jahun Local Government Area, leaving residents in a state of panic.

To the Executive Chairman of Jahun Local Government Council on Sunday 23rd March, 2025.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, but eyewitnesses estimate the damage to be in millions of Naira, with over 18 houses and animals affected.

In response to the disaster, the Chairman of Jahun Local Government, Hon. Jamilu Muhammad Danmalam, swiftly provided relief materials to the affected community.

The relief items include: 7 bags of millet, 7 bags of rice, 1 bag of sugar, 1 bag of gari, 6 mattresses, 7 mosquito nets, 8 bathing buckets, 9 robes and wrappers and 10 pairs of shoes. 

The relief materials were presented to the community by the Deputy Chairman, Hon. Rabi'u Salisu Harbo, who urged the residents to remain calm and grateful for the assistance.

The community has expressed gratitude to Hon. Danmalam for his prompt response to their plight.

"We are grateful for the swift response of the local government," said a resident. "This gesture has brought hope to our community in this difficult time."

The Chairman of Jahun Local Government, Hon. Jamilu Muhammad Danmalam, has assured the affected community of the local government's commitment to supporting them in this difficult time.

"We will do everything possible to support our people," said Hon. Danmalam. "We urge the community to remain calm and to work with us to rebuild their lives."
