Kano State Police Command Arrests Suspected Kidnappers

The Kano State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, disclosed this in a statement posted on his Facebook page.

SP Kiyawa said the suspects were suspected of kidnapping a woman from Minjibir Local Government Area and taking her to Jigawa State for ransom.

Following the information, police forces were deployed and confronted the suspects, shooting some of them dead and arresting the others.

Weapons were also recovered from their possession and the woman was rescued without any ransom being paid.
