Jigawa Commissioner of health receives award of excellence by HelpMum

The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Health Jigawa State, Dr. Mohammed Abdullahi Kainuwa, received an award of Excellence by HelpMum in partnership with  Behavioral Science Insights (BSI) due to his outstanding leadership and stewardship in the areas of Maternal and Child Health services uptake in the State. 

The event took place at Eko hotel and suites Victoria Island Lagos represented by the ES SPHCDA, Director Family Health, Director PHC and a media consultant in a workshop on using cutting-edge technology, social media engagements and harnessing on AI (VAX AI). This will in turn break social and behavioral barriers and optimizing enablers to improve Maternal and Child Health services uptake and outcomes.

Presenting the award, director family health, Dr. Abubakar Sa'id Kanya who rrepresented the commissioner said the state have been analyzes as one of the best state in terms of health development. 

Dr. Kanya said seven States participated in the workshop namely; Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, Imo, Akwa Ibom, Oyo and Osun. Others are NPHCDA and development partners. 

In his response, the Hon. Commissioner of Health Dr. Mohammed Abdullahi Kainuwa appreciates HelpMum by giving him the award and assured them that Jigawa state will continue to come first in terms of health promotion especially with regards to women and child health.
