4 Houses Burnt to Ashes in Jigawa as Car Rammed into House

A devastating incident occurred on Sunday when a motor vehicle crashed into a residential house in Dutse, Jigawa State, leaving four houses burnt to ashes.
According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle, a Toyota Corolla with registration number NSR 120 BC, was being driven erratically by two men, Muhammad Galadima, 32, and Abdullahi Abubakar Sadiq, 41, who were suspected to be under the influence of alcohol.
The vehicle crashed into a residential building at Elpies Street, Mobile Quarters Dutse, causing a massive fire that engulfed the house and three neighboring ones. A woman and her children, who were sleeping in the house, narrowly escaped death.
The police and firefighters responded quickly to the incident, extinguishing the inferno and preventing further damage. The suspects and the vehicle are currently in police custody.
The Jigawa State Police Command has launched an investigation into the incident, and the suspects will be prosecuted accordingly upon completion of the investigation.
