Yobe State Govt. Declares Tuesday 15th July 2025 A Work Free Day to Mourn Former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Yobe state Governor Hon (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni CON COMN, has approved Tuesday 15th July 2025, a work free day to mourn former President, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR who died on Sunday in a London hospital.
The Governor in a statement issued by the Director General press and media affairs Alhaji Mamman Muhammad, urged workers and the people of the state to dedicate the day to pray for the repose of the soul of the late President Muhammadu Buhari.
He charged imams to make good use of the day to pray in their respective mosques for the late President and the country.
"He was a leader who has done so much to ensure return of security to Yobe state and the North East in general, he deserve this special honour from the people of the state" Governor Buni observed.
Meanwhile, the state executive council today had a special prayer session for the late President in place of its weekly meeting which was stood down in honour of the late former president.
Earlier, Gov. Buni, in a condolence message, described late Buhari as a great patriot who spent most of his life working for the unity and progress of Nigeria.
He said Buhari was a disciplinarian, a leader with integrity, and a leader with unlimited passion for the development of the nation.
The Governor prayed to almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him aljannah.
Governor Buni condoled with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, the family of the late former president, Katsina state government, Daura Emirate and Nigerians in general over the huge and monumental loss.
