RAINFOURISE HOPE IN JIGAWA: Farmers' Plea For Government  Support.

By Ali Rabi'u Ali Jigawa

In the verdant landscape of Warwade village, Dutse Local Government Area of Jigawa State, a sense of excitement and optimism fills the air as the rains arrive. Farmers in the region are rejoicing as their crops begin to grow rapidly, thanks to the timely rainfall. Despite the challenges of inadequate fertilizers, the fertile land is proving to be a blessing, yielding promising results.

However, the farmers are urging the government to step up its efforts in distributing fertilizers, particularly to grassroots farmers. They emphasize the need for a fair and equitable allocation process, free from political influence.

In a significant development, the Jigawa State government, under the leadership of Governor Malam Umar Namadi, has allocated over N500 million for the irrigation system in the Warwade Dam. This initiative aims to boost the economy of Dutse and the state as a whole. The project is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of farmers and the broader community.

The farmers have commended the state government for its efforts in addressing the socioeconomic challenges facing the country. They appreciate the government's commitment to improving the lives of its citizens, particularly in the agricultural sector.

As the rains continue to nourish the crops, the farmers of Warwade village remain hopeful for a bountiful harvest. With government support and investment in agriculture, they aspire to achieve even greater success and contribute to the state's economic growth.
