NEYIF Trains CSOs on Organizational Development and Mentorship in Jigawa

The "North East Youth Initiative for Development (NEYIF)" (NEYIF) through its Knowledge Innovation and Resources Hub (KIRH) North West, recently organized a 3-day workshop on organizational development and mentorship for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Jigawa State.
The workshop, held at the Grand Ambar Palace Hotel and Suites in Dutse, Jigawa State Capital, brought together CSOs from across the state to build their capacity in accessing grants from government and donor agencies for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE) activities.
Themed "Strengthening Local Leadership and Organizational Resilience for Sustainable PCVE Impact," the workshop aimed to equip CSOs with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively address violent extremism in their communities.
The Jigawa State Coordinator of NEYIF Comrade Muhammad Musbahu Basirka, commended the efforts of NEYIF for their commitment to improving PCVE activities in the state. He expressed confidence that the CSOs in attendance would apply the knowledge gained during the workshop to enhance their work in PCVE.
Comrade Dauda Mohammed Gombe, Executive Director of NEYIF, highlighted the organization's mission to empower young people with skills, knowledge, and opportunities to succeed. He emphasized the importance of addressing violent extremism through enlightenment and advocacy, and urged CSOs to take a proactive role in promoting peace and stability in their communities.
The CSOs in attendance commended NEYIF for the workshop and pledged to implement the knowledge gained to enhance their PCVE activities. They expressed gratitude to NEYIF for providing them with the opportunity to build their capacity and strengthen their organizations.
