Her Women Empowerment Scheme has provided financial support to women across the state's 27 local government areas, enabling them to start or grow their businesses. Additionally, the Women Da'awah Program has employed 587 instructors to teach Islamic jurisprudence to women, equipping them with valuable knowledge to impart to their children. Skills acquisition training in areas like bead making, shoe making, and liquid soap making has also been provided to empower women.
Hajiya Hadiza Umar Namadi has been a vocal advocate for girls' education, recognizing its transformative power.
She has promised to increase support for girl-child education in Jigawa State, emphasizing the importance of education in shaping the future of girls and the state. Her efforts have led to increased awareness and enrollment drives, encouraging families to prioritize girls' education.
The distribution of 200 motherhood kits worth over N120 million to general hospitals across the state has been a significant healthcare initiative. This gesture demonstrates her commitment to improving maternal health and reducing mortality rates.
While her husband, Governor Umar Namadi, introduced the Tsangaya system to provide Almajiri students with a stable environment for Quranic and Western education, Hajiya Hadiza Umar Namadi has distributed food items, clothing materials, and cash to vulnerable populations, including widows, children, and the less privileged.
Her tireless efforts have earned her recognition as First Lady of the Year (Girl Child Support & Community Development) at the 2025 Nigerian Humanitarian Awards. This award acknowledges her passionate work promoting girls' education, menstrual health awareness, and school enrollment drives.
The Hajiya Hadiza Foundation, founded by the First Lady, provides support to widows, orphans, and the less privileged. The foundation has distributed essential items, including cash, food, and clothing, to those in need.
