Yobe Gov't, Islamic Bank Team Assess Irrigation, Livestock Potentiality Sites.

The Yobe State officials in the Ministry of Livestock Development and that of Agriculture and Natural Resources led by the Permanent Secretaries Dr Musa Abba Kollere and Alhaji Inuwa Muhammad Gulani  among other technical directors and focal persons of the integrated Agricultural Development programmes accompanied officials of the Islamic Development Bank for an assessment of irritation and livestock development areas in the state.

The team visited Lava irrigation land in Garin Alkali, Bursari Local government area and Nazari  Jakusko Livestock Development Centre geared towards enhancing and developing the sites.

The Islamic Development Bank team, led by Mr Javed Khan was in the to  assess the sites for the final compilation of the document for the first phase of the project in the  state.

The team leader  while speaking on the projects, promised that the bank will train members of the communities on a new fish farming system techniques among other technical support.

The team inspected the facilities on ground at the places visited which will be for both dry, wet season farming and livestock farming .

A beneficiary who is also the village head of Garin Dole, Alhaji Mai kyari Lawan expressed happiness over the project adding that Government has paid the compensation of their land before the takeoff of the projects.

Mai kyari Lawan restated their readiness to partake in the farming activities which will benefit at  least three  thousand farmers in various communities.

The project will cover eight local government areas in the state geared towards ensuring food security and sufficiency.
