Jigawa Speaker empowers 2018 Beneficiaries with N45 Million

In a significant move to boost economic growth and development, the Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, has empowered 2018 beneficiaries with N45 million in Miga Local Government Area. 

The empowerment program, held over the weekend at the Local Government headquarters in Miga town, saw beneficiaries from the 33 electoral wards receiving various amounts, ranging from N100,000, N50,000, N30,000, N20,000 and N10,000 respectively.

Making the donations to the beneficiaries, Governor Malam Umar Namadi emphasized that the empowerment program is part of the state's 12-point agenda, aimed at supporting small traders and farmers.

He noted that 382,500 beneficiaries are targeted across Jigawa state, with each Local Government Area receiving N30 million. 

The governor urged the beneficiaries to take advantage of the empowerment program to develop themselves and contribute to the state's economic growth.

The governor also directed the 27 council chairmen to acquire 100 hectares of land in each LGA to assist farmers.

He said this is demonstrating the state's commitment to agricultural development and economic empowerment.

Also the Speaker, Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, commended Governor Namadi for supporting members of the state Assembly in their constituency projects across the state. 

He promised that they are ever ready to support the Governor's policies and requests that are brought before the house.
