The Executive Chairman of Jahun Local Government, Hon. Jamilu Muhammad Danmalam, has pledged to install solar-powered lights in Tsangaya (Islamic) schools across the local government area to enhance learning conditions.

He made the commitment while receiving an ‘Outstanding Leadership Award’ from Riyadul Qur’an Li’Ustaz Sunusi Jafar Islamiyya Kankarofi Jahun during the 11th graduation ceremony of 61 students who completed the memorisation of the Holy Qur’an.

A statement signed by the SA. Publicity to the chairman Ismail Salisu Bature Jahun, the Hon. Danmalam reaffirmed his commitment to revitalising both Islamic and formal education in Jahun.

Following the event, the chairman held a special session with the school’s leadership to discuss critical challenges affecting the institution.

The school’s head teacher highlighted various achievements and challenges facing the school, particularly the inadequate boarding facilities due to the rising number of students.

In response, the chairman assured the school of government support, promising significant improvements by the next graduation ceremony.

The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including the chairmen of Dutse and Gagarawa local governments, a member representing Kafin Hausa Constituency, and other distinguished guests.
