Jahun LG expands water supply system

The Jahun Local Government Council has approved the expansion of the water supply system from the Lambu water station to various quarters in Jahun town.

According to a statement by Comrade Ismael Bature Jahun, Special Assistant on Publicly to the Executive Chairman of Jahun Local Government Council, Hon. Jamilu Muhammad Danmalam, the council has sent engineers to assess the areas to be connected to the water supply system.

Initially, the council repair five boreholes at the Lambu water station by installing new, modern equipment. Currently, the area's that are expected to be connected with water are Kofar Gabas, Lilon Dan Baqi, and Yarkasuwa quarters, among others, to the water supply system for the first round.

Within the past four months, Hon. Jamilu Muhammad Danmalam has repair over 230 functional boreholes with solar-powered pumps in the 11. wards of Jahun Local Government Area, aiming to address the water scarcity problem in the area Jahun Local Government area.
